Child Protection & Safeguarding

Governors and staff at Hurstmere School are committed to the safeguarding of the young people within our community, through an ethos built on care, positivity and safety within a stimulating environment, which promotes the holistic development and wellbeing of every pupil.

We at Hurstmere accept and recognise our responsibilities to challenge where necessary, but also develop awareness of the issues which cause children harm and we will work actively with other agencies to promote the welfare of our pupils.

Police Safer Schools Team

"My name is PC Richard Parrett, I am the new Safer Schools Constable assigned to Hurstmere School. My role is to support the school with issues around safeguarding and education whilst also being a positive link between the Police and young people. I will be working alongside the school and parents in early intervention, preventing young people becoming either victims or perpetrators of crime."
