A Strong Year for Hurstmere as GCSE Results Improve Again!

There was plenty to smile about at Hurstmere School this morning as our Year 11 students opened their GCSE results and began making plans for the next stage of their education.

Behind each envelope was a different story: subjects mastered, setbacks overcome, revision sessions attended and, for many, results that opened the door to their chosen sixth form, college or apprenticeship.

Hurstmere School continues its upward trajectory, providing a clear and exciting indication of the impact of our school improvement journey and the progress being made across the school.

Mrs Bennett, Principal, said:

“Results day is one of those moments when you see what all the lessons, conversations, revision sessions and encouragement have been building towards. I am delighted for our students.

As a school, we are pleased to see our overall progress continuing to move forward and some particularly strong performances across the curriculum. Our thanks go to the staff who have invested so much in this year group, to the families who have supported them along the way and, above all, to our boys themselves. We wish every one of them all the very best for what comes next.”
